Notes for William DIBBLEE
Extract from letter of Munson Jarvis of 5th Aug 1788
"William & Ralph have taken land at Meductuck (the old name of Woodstock) 130 or 140 miles up the
river, where they say the lands are much better than where they now are, but I fear they are but
poor farmer. William is a hard-working man; believe Ralph will work if he cannot help it."

Extract from note by W.O. Raymond, Jnr (written in 1920)
"By 1788, William was established in that farm at Woodstock, which subsequently was bequeather to my
great-grandfather, and from him handed on to my grandfather, the farm where my father was born.
When William died in 1832 he left the farm and its effects to my great-grandfather, and from that
time on it became the Raymond homestead."
