| Notes for Walter D. DIBBLEE | ||||||||||||
| Extract from letter of Munson Jarvis of 5th Aug 1788 "Walter seems entirely detached from the family, taking shelter under the wing of his father-in-law, Mr. Beardsly, who I believe is full as good a farmer as preacher." Was a crown land surveyor, was the S.P.G. schoolmaster at Maugerville. Then returned to Kingston and was jailer at Kingston when Henry More Smith was in jail. At that time very sick with Rheumatism and he left while Henry Smith was there, going to Sussex to teach school there. (Ernest Graham of Norton New Brunswick) | ||||||||||||
